Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the services provided by Callahan Movers (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using our services, you (“you” or “the customer”) agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

1. Services Provided

Callahan Movers provides moving and storage services, including but not limited to local and long-distance moves, commercial moves, residential moves, and storage services. By requesting our services, you agree to the terms outlined in this agreement.

2. Booking and Payments

• Booking: A booking must be confirmed at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled move. All bookings are subject to availability.
• Payment: Payment for moving services is due before or on the day of the move, unless otherwise agreed upon. We accept payments through cash, credit card, or other payment methods as specified.
• Deposits: For long-distance or large moves, a deposit may be required at the time of booking, which will be credited toward the total cost of the move.

3. Customer Responsibilities

• Access and Preparation: The customer must ensure that the moving premises are accessible and that all items are properly packed and ready for transport. We are not responsible for items that are not packed, secured, or protected.
• Insurance: We recommend that you arrange for insurance coverage for valuable or fragile items. We do not provide insurance for any goods or property during the move, but we can recommend insurance options upon request.
• Prohibited Items: Callahan Movers does not move hazardous, dangerous, or perishable items. A full list of prohibited items can be provided upon request.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling

• Cancellation: If you need to cancel or reschedule your move, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the move may result in a cancellation fee.
• Rescheduling: We will do our best to accommodate rescheduling requests, but availability is not guaranteed. Additional fees may apply.

5. Pricing and Fees

• Hourly Rates: For local moves, we typically charge by the hour. The final cost will depend on the total hours worked and the services provided. Additional charges may apply for packing, disassembly, or special services.
• Flat Rates: For long-distance or larger moves, a flat rate will be provided based on the details of your move. This will be confirmed before the move date.
• Additional Fees: Additional charges may apply for travel time, heavy or oversized items, stairs, elevators, or long carries. Any additional charges will be disclosed to you prior to the move.

6. Liability and Damages

• Damages: We take every precaution to ensure that your belongings are handled with care. However, Callahan Movers is not liable for any damage to goods, property, or premises that is caused by the customer’s failure to properly pack or protect their items, or by the nature of the items being moved.
• Limitations of Liability: Our liability for any damages or loss is limited to the cost of moving services provided, and we are not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your personal information. By using our services, you agree to our Privacy Policy, which details how we collect, use, and protect your data. Please review our Privacy Policy for more information.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Callahan Movers, its employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to damages caused by items that you ask us to move or improper preparation of your items.

9. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute related to the services provided, we will make reasonable efforts to resolve the matter amicably. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute will be handled through mediation or, if necessary, through binding arbitration in the state of Florida.

10. Changes to Terms

Callahan Movers reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and the updated Terms will apply to all subsequent services. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
